Cobo
Cobo is about half way along the the island's west coast and is a very popular beach for swimming all year round. It can get very busy in the summer months. There is a kiosk, toilets and slipway, along with several sets of steps to access the beach. It is a sandy beach, although there are some rocks if swimmers go further out.
Fermain
On the island's east coast, just south of St Peter Port is the pebble beach of Fermain. It's popular with bathers and a popular picnic spot in the summer months. It has a kiosk and toilets, but there is next to no parking. The road to access the bay is not recommended for cars or cyclists, as it is extremely steep and narrow! The beach also holds a 2004 ENCAMS Seaside Award which is awarded for good water quality, strict management criteria and good facilities.
L'Eree
The large sandy stretch of beach at L'Eree is out on Guernsey's west coast. It's often busy in the summer months, but the large size of the beach means it rarely feels crowded. There's plenty of parking in two car parks, along with public toilets. There's no set kiosk, but there are several restaurants and tea rooms in the area and an ice cream van is usually in the bigger of the two car parks. The beach is popular for swimming, but at low tides there can be sharp rocks in the water, however they do make for good rock-pooling. The beach also holds a 2004 ENCAMS Seaside Award which is awarded for good water quality, strict management criteria and good facilities.
Pembroke
Pembroke is on the island's north coast and is popular with water sports enthusiasts. There is a small kiosk and a larger one. The Mirage restaurant has replaced the old Sablon D'Or kiosk. There are public toilets and plenty of parking. The top of the beach is pebbly, but most of it is sand. Windsurfers, surfers and kayakers regularly use the beach, but it is also popular with swimmers as the water sports have a seperate launching area. The beach also holds a 2004 ENCAMS Seaside Award which is awarded for good water quality, strict management criteria and good facilities.
Petit Bot
Petit Bot is on the island's south coast and is pebbly at the top and sandy at the bottom. There are some large rocks and boulders further down the beach, which are popular with rock-poolers. Many people swim, but the water is notoriously cold! There is a cafe and toilets, but the parking is a little limited. On busy days cars are parked up both sides of the surrounding valley. From April to September access to the bay is by a one way system.
It's often popular on windy days when the north and west coasts can be exposed, but the cliffs mean Petit Bot is sheltered. The beach also holds a 2004 ENCAMS Seaside Award which is awarded for good water quality, strict management criteria and good facilities.
Portelet
Portelet is right on the south west corner of the island is popular with west coat residents. It is mostly sandy at the top, with lots of rock lower down the beach. It's popular with swimmers and snorkelers, as well as rock-poolers.

Port Soif
Port Soif is on the island's west coast and is often fairly quiet.
The horse-shoe shape makes it popular with swimmers and people looking for a sheltered spot. The tea rooms at the top of the beach are also popular.
Parking is a little limited, with people often resorting to using the access road to the bay, which can cause a few problems. The beach also holds a 2004 ENCAMS Seaside Award which is awarded for good water quality, strict management criteria and good facilities.
Vazon
Vazon can get busy in the summer months. It's on the island's west coast and is extremely popular. Swimmers, surfers and windsurfers all use this long sandy beach. There is a kiosk and public toilets, along with plenty of parking at various points along the bay. It can accessed by a number of sets of steps and a slipway. Swimmers are advised to take note of the checkered black and white square painted on the sea-wall, as they should not go in the water beyond that point. The beach also holds a 2004 ENCAMS Seaside Award which is awarded for good water quality, strict management criteria and good facilities.
